As part of the Schools Photovoltaic Programme, the Department of Education funded the installation of 14 roof-mounted solar panels in Springdale NS.
Despite the fact that they were only installed late in the summer, we have already been reaping the benefits of solar energy:
- During the month of September, 4 households’ worth of energy have been generated with green electricity through our solar panels!
- We have avoided 61t of CO2 since installation of our solar panels. This is the equivalent to the CO2 emissions of a car on a 473043 km route.
- Since installation during August, our solar panels have produced 11,25 MW.
