Auditions are in full swing in Springdale National School as we prepare for our Christmas theatrical performances which are sure to entertain and amaze you in equal measure. First up, Junior and Senior Infants will perform a play called The Christmas Recipe. In this play the infants will mix all the ingredients that go together to make a wonderful Christmas. It is sure to be the perfect recipe!
Next, 1st and 2nd class will perform Christmas with the Aliens. Alien visitors become stranded on Earth with a broken spaceship. They meet a group of school children who are about to rehearse their Christmas play and are invited to watch it. Will the aliens be able to mend their spaceship and travel back to outer space? You’ll have to wait and see!
3rd and 4th class will present Cinderella, Rockerfella. This is a panto version of the fairytale of Cinderella including all the traditional characters and a lot more besides. Will true love win in the end? Let’s hope so! This modern reworking of a beloved classic will have you at the edge of your seat.
Last but by no means least, 5th and 6th class will perform The lion king. A young lion called Simba flees the kingdom after the passing of his father, only to learn that what he has left behind is not all as it seems. Don’t miss the opportunity to see your favourite Disney story unfold live in all its glory.
