5th Class took to their bikes in the sunshine earlier today as they began their first lesson from the ‘Cycle Right’ programme. This programme, which is funded by the Department of Transport, the Road Safety Authority and An Taisce Green Schools, consists of six lessons of 80 minutes each. Today’s lesson was  mostly theory based  as 5th Class learnt all about bike safety, helmet safety, etc. However over the next 5 weeks, they will learn new skills on their bikes in the yard and, might even get out on the road for the final session.

Huge thanks to Colm and Tony from the Dublin Bay Cycling Centre for offering 5th Class this wonderful opportunity.

I am sure they will really enjoy this experience over the coming weeks.
